I can hardly believe that I am actually starting this blog—it feels surreal!
Let me provide a bit of backstory. On September 2, 2024, an idea struck me to begin a blog. It was quite unexpected! However, I recognised that voice—it was the voice of the Holy Spirit, and I couldn’t help but laugh (p.s. why do people tend to laugh when He shares ideas?). I chuckled because writing a blog seemed unimaginable to me. I enjoy a quiet life, an incredibly serene existence in the background. For me, starting a blog meant stepping out of my comfort zone, which, as we all know, can be quite challenging.
Nonetheless, my love for God prevails, and I always wish to be in His will and guided by His Spirit. I attempted to set the idea aside for some time, providing various reasons against it. One day, while discussing it with a close friend, who happens to be a media guru, she encouraged me to take the leap and even offered to help set up the blog. Thank you!
The next hurdle was coming up with a name. Many domain names were already taken, but after some searching, we settled on the lovely name “Notes by Stillwaters.” I’m not entirely certain what lies ahead, but I trust that God has a plan.
As I write this on September 21, 2025, so much has transpired. I feel completely unqualified, but I am reminded that God’s grace is sufficient for me, and that is more than enough.
On this blog, you can expect reflections on the Bible (I have a deep love for the Scriptures! I believe it is God’s heart towards me, His love letter to me, and through studying and meditating on His word, I experience His presence, and the Holy Spirit transforms my heart to align with God), insights from the waiting series, devotionals, wonderful book suggestions to further assist you in walking in purpose and divine alignment, and much more—a faith-filled notebook left open beside stillwaters.
As I move forward, I may not have a clear vision of what a typical post will entail, but I believe that God will gently guide us toward His promises. I aim to lean into the Holy Spirit, praying that He leads us all on this beautiful journey together.
