Hello, Friends,
We’re excited to kick off a new series on the topic of Waiting! This is a word frequently used by believers who are trusting God for something special.
In simple terms, to wait means to allow time to pass while remaining in one place, not actively doing much until someone arrives, something expected occurs, or until you are able to take action (Cambridge Dictionary).
In a Christian context, waiting involves staying anchored in God until His promises come to fruition.
However, waiting isn’t just about passively sitting by; it’s about moving with God and growing into the person He wants you to be in preparation for His promises. That may sound challenging, and I completely understand.
I went from not wanting to get married to longing for a partner, and at times, feeling weary while waiting for the right person. Throughout my waiting journey, I discovered that God was working on my heart, preparing me to be ready for the one He has in mind for me. I realized I needed to focus on my relationship with Jesus before I could fully welcome someone into my life. As I embraced His love through His Word, my desire to reflect Him grew—leading me to live with a heavenly perspective.
Your journey may differ from mine, but one thing remains true: God is intentional with each of us. Remember, you are not in search of love more than He is, because God is Love (1 John 4:7-12). He is the one who recognised that man should not be alone and created a companion. He provided comfort to Isaac with Rebekah, among countless other examples.
God cares about every detail of your life and has a plan for you. Even if it doesn’t seem clear right now, trust that He has it all figured out. I pray that He grants you the ability to see and hear His guidance, and that your heart remains open to His will.
