HYMN: Jesus Paid it all

speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord

Ephesians 5:19

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly… teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God

Colossians 3:16

Hello, my dear friend,

I hope this message finds you well. If it does, I am truly grateful. May your joy be abundant in Jesus Christ. If not, I still thank God, for we know to give thanks in all circumstances. I pray that the Lord guides you through any challenges you may be facing and draws you closer to Him in Jesus name.   Today’s post is about a hymn that I deeply cherish: “Jesus Paid It All.”  There is something truly comforting about singing hymns and reflecting on their words, especially in moments of quiet.  This particular hymn powerfully emphasises the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.  It reminds us not only to appreciate His gift but also to live fully in all that God has done for us by the help made available through the HolySpirit dwelling in us

1 I hear the Savior say,
“Thy strength indeed is small,
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all.”

Refrain:
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.

2 Lord, now indeed I find
Thy pow’r and Thine alone,
Can change the leper’s spots
And melt the heart of stone. [Refrain]

3 For nothing good have I
Where-by Thy grace to claim;
I’ll wash my garments white
In the blood of Calv’ry’s Lamb. [Refrain]

4 And when, before the throne,
I stand in Him complete,
“Jesus died my soul to save,”
My lips shall still repeat. [Refrain]

As you journey through this week, remember that Jesus has paid it all.  The veil has been torn (Matthew 27:51), allowing us to approach the throne of grace with confidence to receive mercy and strength in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16; Ephesians 3:12; 1John 4:16-19). It is essential not to navigate your Christian walk alone; come to Him and let Him assist you (Matthew 11:28-20). He is both able and willing to help. His grace is precisely what you need (2corinthians 12:9), along with His empowering presence that works within you to fulfill His good purpose (Phillipians 2:13). Find your rest in Him, only Him can satisfy:

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

Matthew 11:28-30 MSG

Take care, dear friend, and have a peaceful week, safe in the arms of Jesus.
