Hello, dear friend,

I hope this message finds you well. Can you believe it’s already February? Some people say January feels long; I’d love to hear your thoughts on that.

Today, I want to reflect on a hymn: “Great Is Thy Faithfulness.”  I’ve come to appreciate how hymns can truly uplift the heart and point your gaze to God, His love, His power, His soverignty, amongst other things.  This particular hymn holds a special place in my heart.  Every time I sing it, I’m filled with hope and awe at the faithfulness and goodness of God.

1. Great is thy faithfulness, O God, my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with thee.
Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not;
As thou hast been, thou forever wilt be.

Refrain:
Great is thy faithfulness,
Great is thy faithfulness,
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed thy hand hast provided;
Great is thy faithfulness,
Lord unto me.

2. Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,

As we step into a new week, may each day serve as a reminder of God’s unwavering faithfulness and His endless mercies. Take a moment to reflect on the times God has been there for you, and let that strengthen your hope in His promises. Keep your focus on Him and respond to His love with gratitude and trust.
